Install Your Own Swimming Pool by These Steps

By largely digging and building your own pool, you can save a lot. But of course, you have to get started with a professional. Investigate in advance which steps you can do with yourself and which you better leave to a professional. These are just some of the steps that come with the construction of a swimming pool installation.

Step-1 Excavations

The hole needs to be excavated between 100 and 120 cm extra in relation to the inner dimensions of the pool. An excavator is highly recommended for this, as well as a laser for leveling the bottom.

Step-2 Deposit concrete floor

If the surface is flat, it is time for the concrete floor. This should be about 15 cm thick and of medium quality (ask the concrete plant or contractor). A single reinforcement of 6 or 8 mm is also sufficient. Whether a formwork is needed is up to the pool installers NJ contractor and how the hole has been excavated.

Step -3 Put up walls

You have to make an important choice in this. Usually one can choose between:

      ·         Concrete blocks

These measure approximately 19x20x29 cm and are hollow. These are masoned or glued. A reinforcement strips in the joint can be used (murfor). The finish is rough and therefore the inside should be provided with stucco or insulation boards (EPS value of 150 or 200).

     ·          Polystyrene or styropor building blocks

These have recently become very popular. They are usually a lot more expensive than concrete blocks, but much simpler and lighter in processing. Individuals should be aware of the complexity of building with this!

The blocks are stacked, anchored to the floor and later fully filled with concrete. The finish is already completely smooth on the inside and therefore ready for foil!

Step -4 Places of installation parts

The built-in parts must be installed during the erection of the walls. Ask for the correct positions for this. Because pool installation NJ company prefer a low wall suction above a bottom pit, the floor can already be made before the built-in parts are present.

In a drawing NJ pool installer indicate the correct positions and heights, in consultation with you about the position of the filter installation and depending on a cover or the wind.

Step- 5 Lay PVC pipes

Since the pipes are laid in the ground, they must be well planned and work with 50- and 63-mm tubes (thicker at Jetstream) and all tubes are pressure resistant. Most links are universal. You can purchase material yourself or have it delivered by us. You are then assured of the right connections and threads.
The construction is not difficult, but requires a secure operation of cleaning and gluing. The tubes are available in pipe (not pliable) or flexible. Here you need fewer curves, but this is not nice to fix to the wall with wall brackets. The pipes are brought to the location of the filter installation, after which the soil can be replenished.

You can also have the pipes installed by a pool installers company!

Attach edge tiles

If the foil is placed, the edge tile can be placed. Since the edge tile is very visible, this must be done very carefully! The edge tile is laid in the mortar and the joints are applied. Depending on the contractor / bricklayer an alternative attachment can be used. Wooden edges also occur.

Complete ground

Finally, the soil is supplemented. The advice is to do this with stabilized sand, this always prevents a possible collapse of the walls if the pool is empty. It may NOT be checked afterwards! Keep in mind before you put a terrace (in concrete)! And the best advice to do this installation choose pool installation.
